This afternoon, Channel 12's Amit Segal reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to attend the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham, a close friend of Israel. The report follows the Prime Minister's Office confirmation earlier today — at 17:10 Jerusalem — that Netanyahu will depart for Washington on Monday, meet with President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday, and also attend the funeral ceremony for the late senator.

On July 23, the desk reported that Netanyahu had canceled his U.S. trip due to the security escalation, based on a Ynet report. However, by the afternoon of July 24, the PMO officially announced that the trip was back on, at Trump's invitation, with the funeral attendance now confirmed. The sequence of reports shows the situation moving from an unconfirmed cancellation to an official confirmation of the trip including the funeral.
As The Zioneer reported on July 21, Netanyahu had expressed interest in attending Graham's funeral. The funeral ceremonies are scheduled for July 28 in Washington and July 29 in South Carolina.
The PMO's announcement did not address earlier speculation that Netanyahu might also attend the World Cup final in New Jersey alongside Trump. It also confirmed that journalists will not be allowed to accompany the prime minister on the Wing of Zion flight.
