The plan, first presented in broad strokes on Thursday morning, now includes 12 principles: voluntary participation, agreed-upon destination countries with legal status, individual and family tracks, a benefits package covering housing and employment, performance-based payments to host countries, and security vetting. The targets are 250,000 emigrants in year one, 1.11 million within three years, and approximately 1.86 million within seven years. Ben-Gvir demanded that the next government establish a ministry with a designated minister, budget, and authority, and that his party control it.
"Too bad they didn't listen to Gandi, and instead brought upon us the Oslo disaster," Ben-Gvir said, referencing the late Rehavam Ze'evi. "Instead of digging tunnels, it's time to pack suitcases." Ben-Gvir has consistently advocated for emigration as the only solution for Gaza, a stance he reiterated on July 30, as The Zioneer reported, stating that destroying Hamas and encouraging Palestinian emigration is the only solution Israel is willing to partner in. Defense Minister Israel Katz expressed similar support earlier Thursday, stating that the government's emigration administration is prepared to evacuate Gazans by any means.
