Carmel Tunnels closed due to vehicle fire; firefighters on scene, no casualties

The fire was reported at 15:27 Jerusalem time, blocking the Carmel Tunnels, a major north-south route in the Haifa area. Firefighting crews from the Haifa district are working to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire is not yet known, and the extent of damage to the tunnel structure is still under assessment. Similar vehicle fires on major routes have been reported previously, but no direct connection to this incident has been established.
