U.S. Central Command said it has completed the most recent wave of strikes on Iran, which it characterized as the last in the current campaign. CENTCOM added that over 50,000 U.S. service members remain deployed across the Middle East, 'vigilant, lethal, and ready.'
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced early Saturday that it had completed the latest wave of strikes on Iran, describing it as the last in the current campaign. The statement came hours after CENTCOM launched the seventh consecutive night of strikes on Friday night, as The Zioneer reported at 22:55 Jerusalem.
Over the past week, the campaign has targeted coastal defense systems, missile and drone launch sites, and maritime military capabilities at sites including Bushehr, Chabahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa, and Bandar Abbas. CENTCOM said the operation concluded at 04:42 Jerusalem.
In its statement, CENTCOM emphasized that more than 50,000 American service members remain deployed across the Middle East and are 'vigilant, lethal, and ready.' The announcement marks the formal end of the current wave, though the U.S. has not indicated whether further strikes are planned.
