01 · THE DISPATCH

This evening, an Israeli woman was extracted from the market area of Qalqilya by Civil Administration officers from the Ephraim District Coordination and Liaison Office after being spotted in the Palestinian city. According to the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, she entered Area A in her private vehicle, apparently to shop, without coordination — an activity that is both illegal under Israeli law and carries life-threatening risk. The woman was transferred to security forces via coordination channels; the case has been handed to the Judea and Samaria Police District for further handling.

As The Zioneer reported on June 5, two similar incidents occurred over the past week: three Israeli women were rescued from Beit Jala after mistakenly entering en route to Rachel's Tomb, and an Israeli man was extracted from Qalqilya after being caught using counterfeit money in the city center. Those cases also involved entry into Palestinian Authority Area A without prior coordination. The Civil Administration reiterated that entering Area A endangers lives and is prohibited by law.
