The change comes after Dobronsky declined the seat and instead agreed with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to serve as Minister for AI Affairs, as The Zioneer reported.
The development follows a series of announcements by Dobronsky in the early hours of Tuesday. At 00:28 Jerusalem, The Zioneer reported that Dobronsky had informed Netanyahu he would not take a Knesset seat and would instead serve as a minister. Minutes later, he formally gave up his reserved slot in Likud's second ten. Shortly thereafter, he specified that his portfolio would be AI Affairs, making him Israel's first Minister for AI Affairs.
The Zioneer reported on Tuesday that Dobronsky's appointment as AI minister was finalized. The portfolio is a new position created by Netanyahu.
Dan's full identity has not been disclosed by Likud officials.
