The Zioneer first reported the fire at 21:47 Jerusalem on Sunday, citing initial reports of at least 29 dead and describing the venue as a restaurant in northern Bangkok. By 02:01 Jerusalem on Monday, Thai officials confirmed that 22 of the wounded were in critical condition, as The Zioneer reported. Earlier, the Israeli rescue organization ZAKA stated that no Israelis or Jews were among the casualties.
The fire at the pub, located in the Chatuchak district, is the latest in a series of deadly blazes in the region. The Zioneer previously reported on a fire at the Huiteng shoes factory in Jinjiang, China, on July 9, which killed at least 28 people.
Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire. The death toll may be updated as authorities continue to assess the scene.
