Deri directly quoted Golan as having referred to IDF soldiers as 'baby killers as a hobby,' saying such rhetoric fuels international propaganda against Israel. 'Whoever served as chief of staff should not lend a hand, even indirectly, to such a grave harm to IDF soldiers,' Deri said.
The Zioneer reported earlier Monday that IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir convened senior officers and labeled the film a 'blood libel' against the military, ordering a review of information security protocols. Golan has previously made controversial statements about the IDF and security policy, including remarks that killing Palestinians harms security and that Prime Minister Netanyahu uses the military as a political shield.
