TL;DR

In a tour with embedded reporters from N13/Army Radio, the division commander of the southern Lebanon security zone said Hezbollah is using the ceasefire to refresh its forces, relocate weapons, and improve positions. The IDF is monitoring the activity and can strike those forces if fighting resumes, according to the commander. A company commander from Golani's 12th Battalion, a Metula resident, underscored the mission by pointing to the communities behind them.

01 · THE DISPATCH

Embedded journalists from N13/Army Radio toured the southern Lebanon security zone with the division commander on Sunday, amid growing concerns that Hezbollah is exploiting the ceasefire to rebuild its combat capabilities. The commander told the reporters that Hezbollah is rotating its forces, relocating weapons from the battlefield, and improving its positions and readiness. 'We are watching him — the moment we return to fighting, we will be able to hit those forces,' he said.

The visit also included a company commander from the Golani Brigade's 12th Battalion, who lives in the border town of Metula. When asked about the mission, he said: 'Just look back. Look at what we are fighting for. Between a civilian and a terrorist — a fighter must stand.'

The accounts come as The Zioneer has previously reported on Hezbollah's use of the ceasefire to regroup (June 26) and on continued surveillance drone flights over IDF positions (Sunday, July 12). The IDF has warned that the ceasefire is fragile and that renewed combat may be necessary.

No immediate decision on resuming operations was announced. The report underscores the tension between the operational pause and the enemy's ongoing military preparations.
