As The Zioneer reported earlier, the soldier, a regular-service conscript, was arrested Saturday evening by Judea and Samaria District police on suspicion of shooting the 9-year-old child. The incident occurred Friday when the soldier arrived at the village outskirts with several other Israelis. A confrontation developed, during which the soldier allegedly fired his personal weapon, striking the child. The weapon was seized by police.
The child's condition was not immediately reported. The investigation is ongoing.
