TL;DR

Multiple explosions were heard at the Iranian port of Kangan, according to unverified reports. The blasts follow two consecutive nights of explosions at Iranian military and port sites, including at Bandar Kangan naval base and the Caspian port of Gorgan, as The Zioneer reported.

01 · THE DISPATCH

A third consecutive night of blasts across Iran has brought unverified reports of explosions at the port of Kangan, reported around 22:41 UTC. This follows what The Zioneer tracked through Thursday evening: a report of explosions at the Bandar Kangan naval base in Bushehr Province at 21:58 UTC, and a second report of blasts at the Caspian Sea port of Gorgan in northern Iran at 22:38 UTC. The Kangan port report is the third distinct location to emerge within roughly 45 minutes.

The thread began at 21:45 UTC when The Zioneer first reported explosions in the port of Kangan based on unverified local sources. Minutes later, a second version noted that those blasts were accompanied by reports of Iranian Air Force fighter jets patrolling western Tehran. A third version, also timestamped 21:45 UTC, expanded the picture — the same initial reports now described strikes covering a wider area than a previous wave. The corroboration base across these versions has remained entirely unverified, sourced from unconfirmed local Telegram accounts, with no on-record statement from Iranian authorities.

As The Zioneer reported earlier this evening, the pattern of reports — spanning both southern coastal sites (Bushehr, Bandar Kangan, Kangan port) and a northern Caspian port (Gorgan) — is unusual but the source and nature of the blasts have not been independently confirmed.

The cause of any of the explosions, possible damage or casualties, and whether the reports across locations are linked remain unconfirmed. Iranian authorities have not commented on any of the three reported sites. No independent verification of the blasts has been established.
