At 00:40 Jerusalem, journalist Sapir Lipkin reported explosions heard in the southern Iranian port city of Jask, along the Gulf of Oman. The cause and any damage or casualties are not yet known.
The report comes just 22 minutes after The Zioneer reported explosions and strikes targeting IRGC naval assets in the port city of Kangan, also in southern Iran, at 00:18. Together, the two reports indicate a widening wave of overnight blasts across Iran's southern coastline.
The Jask area has been targeted in past incidents: on June 10, The Zioneer reported a second wave of explosions in Jask County, with strikes on Jask port and Kuh-e Mobarak confirmed by informed sources. The present report could mark a new round of activity. Iranian state media has not commented on either tonight's Kangan or Jask reports. The cause of the explosions remains unconfirmed, and no official Iranian statement has been issued.
