The Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court extended the detention of Ahmed Al-Rajoub, the 23-year-old suspect from Ramla in the murder of attorney Arbel Feldman. The suspect had been arrested on suspicion of shooting Feldman in his office over dissatisfaction with legal representation, as The Zioneer reported earlier Wednesday. The victim's family, in a statement, said they were in shock and asked that his photograph not be published.
Earlier Wednesday, the same court extended Al-Rajoub's remand until August 16, after he allegedly threatened to kill anyone placed in his cell. Dozens of lawyers held a minute of silence Wednesday morning in memory of Feldman, protesting violence against the legal profession. The murder investigation is ongoing.
