01 · THE DISPATCH

Firefighting teams from the Haifa station are responding to a structure fire on Yad Labanim Street in Haifa, the Israel Fire and Rescue Services reported Monday evening. The blaze is located on the first floor of a two-story building. Shift commander Kobbi Meshita stated that on approach he observed thick smoke, called for an additional crew to join two already en route, and that firefighters quickly laid hoses, conducted searches that ruled out trapped victims, then began suppression and smoke ventilation. Extensive damage was reported. An investigation has been opened into the cause. No casualties have been reported. The Fire and Rescue Services released the update via their official spokesperson.

The incident is the latest in a series of building fires across Israel in recent days. Two prior fires in Haifa earlier this month — one on Makor Baruch Street (contained, no casualties) and one on Abner Street (three rescued, attributed to smoking materials) — were reported by The Zioneer as part of routine municipal fire response.
