The Beit Keshet forest has experienced several recent wildfires. As The Zioneer reported on June 8, a blaze required nine firefighting crews and aerial support; on June 19, another fire broke out in the same area; and on June 28, a large fire prompted a request for aircraft. The June 28 incident was a separate fire from today's outbreak, which marks a new event.
No casualties have been reported in today's incident. The precise cause of the fire has not yet been reported.
