At 12:31, an independent analysis by the GeoPWatch team cited reports of smoke from the area, photos circulating online, and NASA FIRMS/VIIRS thermal hotspots recorded at 02:35 AST, noting that the number and distribution of the hotspots appeared irregular. The analysis concluded that an incident likely occurred but could not confirm whether it was an attack or an industrial event.
At 16:01, footage from the area was circulated, showing the aftermath. By 16:08, satellite imagery was released, with the analyst reporting clear damage at the facility. The Zioneer subsequently reported at 16:09 that an analyst had confirmed damage via satellite imagery.
