The Zioneer reported at 12:31 on a suspected fragmentation grenade thrown at a residential tower in northern Tel Aviv, following multiple reports earlier in the morning (06:59) of an explosion in the Tzameret neighborhood. By 06:59, police had confirmed a fragmentation grenade and opened an investigation on suspicion of a criminal motive. Earlier reports identified the target as the U Towers complex, but the latest information specifies the Y Towers. Police have linked the series of attacks to a feud between the Musli and Jarushi crime families, as reported at 06:59.
The attack is the latest in a pattern of grenade incidents in the Tel Aviv area in recent weeks, as The Zioneer has reported. On Aug 3, a stun grenade was thrown near a residential building in Tzameret.
