Hamas publicly observed the second anniversary of the elimination of its military chief Muhammad Deif, releasing a previously unpublished image of him from before the 2024 airstrike that killed him, according to reports.
Hamas's military wing, the al-Qassam Brigades, marked the second anniversary of the elimination of its commander Muhammad Deif on Monday with a new propaganda image. Deif was killed in a large-scale Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip in July 2024. The image, described as a previously unpublished photograph from before the attack, was shared on Hamas-affiliated channels. Israeli media reported the move as part of the group's ongoing efforts to commemorate its slain leadership. The Zioneer had earlier reported on the release of the photo.
