League Administration chairman Erez Kalfon called for the security licenses of those involved to be revoked and for them to be permanently banned from stadiums. Later that evening, police arrested a security guard on suspicion of hitting fans with a metal rod. On Thursday, a court extended his remand by four days.
As The Zioneer reported on Thursday, the suspect is a resident of Abu Ghosh in his 20s. In a separate incident in July, security sources told N12 that fans at a sporting event had attacked guards, spat at them, and moved magnetometers, leading to an arrest.
