Hezbollah warns of 'blatant' ceasefire violations as IDF kills five operatives at Ali al-Taher ridge

TL;DR

Hezbollah said on Thursday night, for the third time, that recent Israeli targeted killings — including a series over the past three days that left 7–10 dead and wounded — constitute "blatant violations" of the ceasefire. The IDF killed five additional Hezbollah operatives at the Ali al-Taher ridge earlier in the evening.

01 · THE DISPATCH

Hezbollah issued a statement Thursday evening warning, for the third time, that recent Israeli targeted killings it described as carried out over the past three days — resulting in between seven and ten dead and wounded — constitute "blatant violations" of the ceasefire agreement. The group did not specify the exact incidents it was referring to.

Earlier Thursday evening, the Israeli Air Force struck and killed five additional Hezbollah operatives at the Ali al-Taher ridge. The ridge has been a recurring flashpoint: as The Zioneer has reported, IDF forces have engaged and killed Hezbollah operatives in the same area multiple times in recent weeks, including on June 23 and June 24, when operatives were killed crossing the Yellow Line under civilian cover and attempting to reach underground infrastructure.

Hezbollah's accusation comes against a backdrop of repeated reciprocal ceasefire-violation claims on both sides. The IDF has previously accused Hezbollah of "blatant" violations (June 14) and reported striking over 70 Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon over a 24-hour period. The organization, in turn, has issued its own tallies of alleged Israeli violations, including a claim of 300 violations since Friday, June 19.

The current incident — the airstrike at Ali al-Taher — has not yet been formally commented on by the IDF. Hezbollah's statement did not specify whether it would respond operationally to the strikes.
