Former minister Assaf Zamir and Dana Silberman, sister of slain hostage Shiri Bibas, are among the founders of Tropper's new party, 'Yesodot Israel' (Foundations of Israel), according to the party registration filing.
Tonight, the registration filing for Hili Tropper's new party 'Yesodot Israel' (Foundations of Israel) formally listed former minister Assaf Zamir and Dana Silberman, sister of slain hostage Shiri Bibas, as founders. The filing confirms earlier reports that had identified the two as key figures in the centrist venture.
The Zioneer first reported at 16:20 Jerusalem that Tropper had submitted a request to register the party, based on a report by N12. Within minutes, at the same time, political reporter Dvir G'bera named the founders including Silberman, Yiftah Ramon, and Zamir. Shortly after, also at 16:20, journalist Amiel Yarchi confirmed the founders' identities. The Zioneer then published a dedicated confirmation at 16:58 Jerusalem, corroborating the reports across multiple newsrooms.
Tropper, a former minister, announced the party earlier this year as a centrist political vehicle, as The Zioneer reported. The inclusion of a family member of Shiri Bibas—who was killed in Hamas captivity—adds a personal and symbolic dimension to the party's launch.
The party's full platform, electoral strategy, and list of additional candidates have not yet been disclosed. It remains unclear whether Tropper intends to run independently or seek alliances with other centrist factions.
