Sirens warning of a suspected hostile aircraft intrusion were activated in the frontline community of Zar'it at 12:56, according to alerts. An interceptor was launched toward the target. The incident is under investigation. This marks the third alert in Zar'it today, as The Zioneer reported at 12:56 and 12:54.
A third siren in under four minutes sent residents to safe rooms in Zar'it (Ma'ale Yosef Regional Council) at 12:56 Wednesday, this one also warning of a suspected hostile aircraft intrusion. The military alert system triggered an interceptor launch toward the target. The Israel Defense Forces are investigating the incident.
The Zioneer reported the first two alerts in the same community at 12:53: sirens at 12:54 warned of a hostile aircraft intrusion across the Upper Galilee and Golan, with the IDF stating details were under investigation. A second siren activated at 12:54, also in Zar'it, which the military said was likewise under review. By 12:56, the third siren prompted the launch of an interceptor — a step not confirmed in the earlier alerts.
The alerts come amid heightened vigilance along the northern confrontation line. As The Zioneer reported on June 13, similar sirens in Margaliot also triggered IDF investigations, and overnight into June 14, sirens were activated in Ghajar.
The nature of the aerial target — whether it was a drone, missile, or false identification — remains unconfirmed, as does whether the interceptor successfully struck its target.
