The announcement comes as part of Israel's ongoing campaign to target Nukhba commanders and operatives who participated in the October 7 attacks. In recent weeks, The Zioneer has reported on the elimination of several such figures, including Mahmoud Fatair, a Nukhba commander struck in Deir al-Balah over the weekend, and Fadi Daghmash, a Hamas commander who led Nukhba training before the massacre. The military has stated that it will continue to pursue all those involved in the October 7 atrocities.
The IDF Southern Command remains deployed in the Gaza Strip under the terms of the ceasefire agreement and continues to operate to remove threats.
