Ahmad Ma'in Muhammad Anqar, a Hamas commander, was also killed. The military said that in recent months, the two were advancing terrorist attack plans targeting IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
The IDF statement noted that the two posed a threat to troops and were eliminated in precise strikes. Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any threat.
