Earlier Monday, The Zioneer reported that Goldblatt documented similar demolitions in the villages of Tebnit and Majdal Zoun. Over the past week, building explosions have been carried out in Al-Khiam, Al-Tiri, and Markaba, among other locations, as part of what appears to be an ongoing IDF operation to destroy Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon. The IDF has not issued official statements on any of these operations.
Deir Siryan is located in the Nabatieh district, a focal point of Israeli military activity in recent weeks. The demolition operations are widely interpreted as part of Israel's efforts to maintain a security buffer zone along the border.
