Lebanese media reported shortly after 13:42 Jerusalem on Friday that an Israeli drone dropped leaflets over the southern Lebanese town of Mansouri, near Tyre. The leaflets read in Arabic: "Danger Zone! Stay Away! Any approach toward Israeli army forces puts you in danger." The IDF has not yet confirmed the leaflet drop.
This is the latest in a series of IDF leaflet drops over Mansouri and the neighboring village of al-Mansouri on Friday. Our thread shows that at 13:42 Jerusalem, three previous versions were published: a first report that a drone had dropped leaflets without specifying content; a second stating that leaflets instructed residents not to approach the village; and a third that the leaflets ordered residents to evacuate their homes. A fourth version, published at 14:35 Jerusalem, cited the Abu Ali Express report that the IDF had dropped warning leaflets over al-Mansouri advising residents not to approach the village or IDF forces. The new dispatch adds the full warning text from the leaflets dropped over Mansouri.
As The Zioneer previously reported, these warnings are part of a broader Israeli effort to keep civilians and Lebanese military personnel away from IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon. Past incidents include warning shots and stun grenades dropped from drones to push back Lebanese Army troops and civilians who approached IDF positions (The Zioneer, June 15, 22, 23). No casualties have been reported in any of those incidents or in the leaflet drops.
It remains unclear whether the IDF planned this leaflet drop specifically over Mansouri as a follow-up or reinforcement of earlier warnings, or whether it was a separate operation. The IDF has not commented on the latest report.
