Hussein Qadra, identified by the IDF as the head of a Hamas-run financial transfer network, and Mohammed Farra, an Islamic Jihad operative working alongside him, were killed in the strike. According to the military, the pair oversaw a network of dozens of couriers and money exchangers operating from Turkey and inside the Gaza Strip, channeling more than half a billion NIS to Hamas's military wing.
The funds were used, the IDF said, to pay salaries to Hamas operatives and finance attacks against Israeli forces and civilians — activity that the military said violated the standing ceasefire agreement. The operation follows a series of targeted eliminations of Hamas finance figures in recent weeks. The Southern Command remains deployed in the area under the ceasefire terms, the military said.
