The IDF said it killed two Hamas operatives in separate strikes last week: a Nukhba squad commander who infiltrated Israel on October 7 and looted an IDF vehicle, and the head of the Khan Younis tunnel unit. Both were struck with precision strikes, the military said, after posing immediate threats to forces.
The IDF announced Sunday morning that it had eliminated two Hamas operatives in two separate strikes carried out last Wednesday in the Gaza Strip. In the first strike, in the Shati area, the military killed Abd al-Rahman Maher Abd al-Karim Ziyadeh, a Nukhba squad commander in Hamas's military wing. Ziyadeh infiltrated Israeli territory on October 7, 2023, and looted an IDF vehicle, which he drove back into Gaza. In a second strike the same day in the Khan Younis area, the IDF killed Kamal Muhammad Hamdan Najar, the head of the Khan Younis tunnel unit in Hamas's military wing. The military said that throughout the war, and especially recently, operatives had been attempting to advance terror plots against IDF forces, and that both were eliminated in precise strikes after posing immediate threats. The IDF stated that its forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to act to remove any immediate threat. The Zioneer has previously reported on successive IDF operations targeting Hamas Nukhba operatives and commanders in Gaza.
