The military said both posed immediate threats to troops.

01 · THE DISPATCH

The IDF on Sunday morning released the names and details of two senior Hamas operatives killed in separate precision strikes last Wednesday (June 24).

In the Al-Shati area of Gaza City, the military eliminated Abd al-Rahman Maher Abd al-Karim Ziyada, a commander of a Nukhba Force cell in Hamas's military wing. According to the IDF, Ziyada infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7, 2023, massacre and looted an IDF military vehicle, taking it into the Gaza Strip.

In a second strike that same day, in the Khan Younis area, the IDF killed Kamal Muhammad Hamdan Najar, who served as head of the tunnel unit in the Khan Younis sector of Hamas's military wing.

The military stated that both operatives had recently attempted to advance attacks against IDF troops operating in Gaza, posed an immediate threat, and were therefore eliminated in precise strikes. Prior to the strikes, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.

IDF troops under Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any threat, the military said.

The announcement follows a series of recent IDF operations targeting Hamas operatives who participated in the October 7 attacks and later sought to rebuild the organization's terror capabilities, as The Zioneer has previously reported.
