01 · THE DISPATCH

At 18:19 Jerusalem, the IDF Spokesperson released a photo of a weapons cache discovered in a civilian bedroom in the village of Tallousa, southern Lebanon. The cache, found by soldiers of the 769th Brigade, contained anti-tank missiles, RPG rockets, explosive devices, vests, helmets, and Hezbollah flags. This is the latest in a series of Hezbollah weapons caches hidden in civilian areas across southern Lebanon.

The Zioneer first reported on the cache at 17:59 Jerusalem, citing an Israeli media report that IDF troops located explosives, missiles, and RPGs in a bedroom. The IDF then published footage of the cache, including Hezbollah flags, and confirmed the weapons were found in Tallousa within the Security Zone. The IDF Spokesperson announced that the 769th Brigade located the cache, and by 17:59 the IDF had released additional details specifying the full inventory of weapons. The photo released at 18:19 Jerusalem provided visual confirmation.

As The Zioneer has reported in recent weeks, Hezbollah systematically stores weapons in civilian homes across southern Lebanon. On Jun 9, the IDF found a weapons cache next to a baby crib in Zawtar al-Gharbiyah. On Jun 21, an underground drone factory with 50 Iranian-made explosive UAVs was discovered. Hezbollah itself has published videos showing the use of civilian homes as launch pads. The IDF has also found tunnel entrances inside civilian homes and clashed with Hezbollah operatives in Shiite villages.

It remains unclear whether the cache in Tallousa was intended for immediate use or as part of Hezbollah's broader arsenal. The IDF has not disclosed whether any arrests were made or if the cache was booby-trapped.
