The IDF has received intelligence indicators of attempted infiltrations by Hezbollah from Lebanon, according to military sources. A "Knight of the Night" alert was declared but no concrete threat was confirmed. Forces are searching the area. The incident comes amid heightened vigilance following previous infiltration attempts.
The IDF is actively searching the area after receiving intelligence indicators of attempted Hezbollah infiltrations from Lebanon, a military source said. A "Knight of the Night" (B-level) alert was declared and later renewed in several communities near the Lebanon border on Thursday evening. As of 23:25 Jerusalem, no actual penetration has been confirmed, and search forces remain deployed.
The alert sequence began with The Zioneer's initial report at 23:15 Jerusalem of a B-level "Knight of the Night" declaration following a specific intelligence indication. Moments later, at the same published time, The Zioneer reported that the alert had been renewed, reflecting a persistent or updated threat assessment. The current dispatch adds that forces are now actively searching the area.
The heightened vigilance follows a series of recent Hezbollah infiltration attempts. As The Zioneer reported on June 9, Israeli officials acknowledged that a Hezbollah operative had been inside Israel for two days before attacking an IDF force, raising concerns that further operatives may be at large. Another overnight infiltration attempt on the night of June 8-9 was reportedly not disclosed publicly by Israeli authorities.
The intelligence indicators are assessed as credible, but the absence of a confirmed breach means the situation remains under development. The Home Front Command has not issued new civilian instructions at this stage.
