01 · THE DISPATCH

Iran released satellite imagery on Friday that it says documents the complete destruction of an ASR-1000 L-Band Tactical Air Surveillance Radar at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, following a drone/missile strike. The ASR-1000 is a mobile radar system used for long-range air surveillance and is valued at around $20 million, according to the Iranian source.

Coordinates published with the imagery place the site at 29°21'31.1"N 47°31'39.9"E, corresponding to Ali Al Salem Air Base in northern Kuwait.

This is the latest in a series of Iranian claims regarding strikes on US and allied military infrastructure in the Gulf. As The Zioneer reported on June 13, Iran published satellite imagery claiming a drone strike destroyed a US early-warning radar site in Bahrain. On June 11, Kuwait's military stated it had intercepted 24 Iranian drones over 48 hours with no casualties, though a separate source later claimed material damage.

The Kuwaiti government and US Central Command have not yet commented on the latest claim. The imagery has not been independently verified.
