TL;DR

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed it struck the US regional command-and-control center and the Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan with 10 ballistic missiles, according to a statement published by Iranian media. The IRGC warned that if the US military repeats 'aggression,' additional American bases in the region will not be immune from 'heavy fire.' The claims remain unverified by independent sources.

01 · THE DISPATCH

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) this afternoon claimed it struck the US regional command-and-control center and the Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan with 10 ballistic missiles, warning that additional American bases would not be safe. The claim comes hours after a series of missile launches from Iran toward Jordan that were reported and intercepted earlier Thursday.

At 13:41 Jerusalem, The Zioneer reported sirens in Jordan following approximately five launches from Iran, with subsequent reports confirming five missiles launched at a US base and Jordanian sources stating eight missiles were intercepted. The sequence of events escalated rapidly, from the initial launch reports to the Jordanian confirmation of interceptions, and now the IRGC's new claim of a 10-missile strike.

The IRGC has a pattern of making unverified claims. As The Zioneer reported on June 10, the IRGC claimed a ballistic missile strike on the same Al-Azraq base, and on June 11 it claimed strikes on five bases across Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain. None of those claims were independently confirmed. The current claim, based on a single IRGC statement, also lacks verification.

It remains unclear how the IRGC's claim of 10 missiles striking targets aligns with Jordanian sources' earlier report of eight intercepted missiles. No US Central Command confirmation or independent corroboration has emerged.
