The report, published Wednesday, cites unnamed security officials who assess that Tehran may shift from its traditional reliance on Hezbollah and Hamas to Iraqi Shia militias for a new front against Israel. The Walla report did not specify whether the threat is considered imminent or a longer-term concern. The Zioneer previously reported on August 4 that the IDF had raised its alert level amid similar concerns about Iran activating Iraqi Shia proxies. The Iraqi militias, including Kata'ib Hezbollah and Harakat al-Nujaba, have previously launched drones and rockets at US forces in the region and have stated solidarity with Iran's anti-Israel axis.
