According to reports, police have taken testimony from Avramov and are questioning several suspects in the investigation into grenade incidents at Japanika restaurants. The development was reported via the correspondents' chat.
Just after 19:00 on Tuesday, police took testimony from Barak Abramov, the owner of the Japnika restaurant chain, and are questioning several suspects at the Tel Aviv police station. This marks a new phase in the investigation into the overnight grenade and shooting attacks on chain branches.
The attacks began overnight Monday–Tuesday, when six fragmentation grenades were thrown at branches in Nes Ziona, Tel Aviv, Afula, and Netanya, with a shooting at the Herzliya branch, as The Zioneer reported at 06:46 Jerusalem. Initial reports from N12's Yolan Cohen described a "total loss of control." By 06:46, police sources told N12 that the attacks were part of a criminal feud targeting Abramov, specifically revenge for his "choosing a side" in the Mosli–Jarushi feud. The source warned that if the wave is not stopped, "heads will roll."
The Zioneer has reported that the Japnika attacks are part of a broader conflict between the Mosli and Jarushi crime families, with nearly 10 shooting and grenade incidents in the 72 hours preceding the overnight wave. The chain's owner, Barak Abramov, is being pressured by criminal elements.
It remains unclear who the suspects are and whether they are directly linked to the grenade throwers. The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been announced. The police source's "heads will roll" warning suggests a high-level concern.
