Following the initial display of Khamenei's coffin at the Khomeini mausoleum earlier tonight, the coffin was moved to the Imam Khomeini Hussainiya for a farewell ceremony. The funeral procession is now scheduled to begin in Tehran on July 4, with burial in Mashhad on July 9, according to reports.

The Zioneer previously reported that the coffin was displayed at the Khomeini mausoleum at around 00:07 Jerusalem time, and that the first public viewing of the coffin took place shortly after. The funeral itinerary has been in development for weeks, with earlier reports of ceremonies in Qom and Iraq. The body was exhumed from a temporary grave in Qom on June 30.

Official confirmation of the cause of Khamenei's death has not been published. The schedule remains subject to change.
