The Zioneer reveals the correspondence of the Bar-Ilan University mathematics professor who faces allegations of plotting coordinated mass-casualty terror attacks against Arab Israelis. The letter's contents have not yet been disclosed.
Israeli media outlet N12 (Channel 12) on Monday evening revealed a letter written by the Bar-Ilan University mathematics lecturer charged with plotting mass terror attacks against Arab Israelis. The full contents of the letter have not yet been made public.
Earlier Monday, the State Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against the 60-year-old lecturer. The Zioneer first reported at 12:32 Jerusalem that the indictment alleged he planned a coordinated terror attack over three years involving 72 armed operatives under the code name 'Am Ya'aseh Transfer' and had attempted to extort former Knesset candidate Moshe Feiglin. At 12:49, The Zioneer reported that the lecturer was charged with plotting to murder hundreds of Arabs. By 13:36, additional details emerged: the suspect allegedly spent three years planning to establish cells for shooting and axe attacks and sought to recruit military personnel to bomb population centers.
In response to the extortion claim, Moshe Feiglin said he had received strange letters for years and only recently discovered they were intended to pressure him into joining the suspect's network; he filed a police complaint, as The Zioneer reported at 14:27 Jerusalem.
The contents of the letter revealed by N12 remain undisclosed. The defendant's legal response has not yet been filed.
