As a result, MKs and ministers who wish to seek a district slot must resign from the Knesset by today, Tuesday, according to N12's Amit Segal.
This ruling effectively forces a major turnover in the faction. Segal reported that at least half of the current Likud faction will be out of the Knesset in the upcoming elections, as sitting MKs are barred from district primaries. The party's internal court decision prevents Minister Haim Katz from promoting his associate MK Eti Atiya's candidacy, among other implications.
