MK Tally Gotliv (Likud) said Thursday that the Knesset will not hold new elections for state comptroller, calling the High Court's ruling that annulled the previous vote 'disgraceful', according to reports.
01 · THE DISPATCH
The High Court of Justice ruled Thursday afternoon that the Knesset's vote for state comptroller was invalid due to lack of secrecy, and ordered a new election. In response, MK Tally Gotliv (Likud) stated that the Knesset will not comply, arguing that the court is overstepping its authority. The ruling is the latest in a series of legal challenges to the appointment, which has been frozen since last month, as The Zioneer reported earlier.
