The move, first reported Tuesday, gained momentum Wednesday as Ben Gvir urged Likud to expedite the process, according to Amit Segal (N12). By Friday, Ben Gvir announced Gotliv would be placed second on the Otzma Yehudit slate, with Minister Yitzhak Vaserlauf moving to the third slot. The final lineup, reported Sunday by multiple sources including Israel Hayom, places Ben Gvir first, Gotliv second, Vaserlauf third, Limor Son Har-Melech fifth, and Yitzhak Kroizer sixth. The fourth slot remains contested between Ben Gvir's chief of staff Hanamel Dorfman and candidate Amichai Eliyahu.
Gotliv's departure from Likud followed months of friction with party leadership over her independent stances. As The Zioneer previously reported, Ben Gvir offered Gotliv a spot on the Otzma Yehudit slate as early as July. Coalition insiders described the transfer as strengthening both parties, offering Ben Gvir a prominent Likud defector and relieving Likud of an internal critic.
