According to an N12 report by journalist Yolan Cohen, Mali and Liel Yahalomi traveled to Prague to purchase a phone without a passport, then sent a video from Argentina purporting to show them in Vienna. The report states they faked location data and were aware of Israeli media coverage. The new details follow earlier police disclosures that the pair faked their Vienna whereabouts.
N12 journalist Yolan Cohen reported early Saturday that Mali and Liel Yahalomi traveled to Prague to purchase a phone without providing a passport, then sent a video from Argentina that claimed to show them in Vienna. According to the report, they also faked phone location data and were aware of reports in Israeli media.
The new details expand on earlier disclosures. As The Zioneer reported on Friday night (20:17 Jerusalem), a senior police source told N12 that the pair sent family members documentation allegedly filmed in Vienna, but were actually in a different destination and may have faked their phone location. Subsequent reports that evening added that the pair had withdrawn approximately €14,000 and planned their departure in advance, and that they were located in Buenos Aires where they were questioned and released.
Further details of the investigation have not been released. The case continues to develop.
