Nehama Orbach, widow of Maj. Eitan Orbach, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to establish the 'Ahavat Eitan' yeshiva at the Bar Dalia farm in the Jordan Valley. Maj. Orbach was killed seven months ago while returning from a security mission at the Har Brakha farm.
Nehama Orbach, widow of Maj. Eitan Orbach, officially launched a crowdfunding campaign Tuesday evening to establish the 'Ahavat Eitan' yeshiva at the Bar Dalia farm in the Jordan Valley. The campaign, promoted via the Givechak platform, follows her earlier public petition reported by The Zioneer at 10:12 Tuesday morning, marking a shift from a statement of intent to an active fundraising drive.
Maj. Orbach, an IDF reserve officer and founder of the 'Olam Katan' Shabbat newsletter, was killed seven months ago returning from a security mission at the Har Brakha farm in the same region. At 10:12 Tuesday, The Zioneer reported that Nehama Orbach had petitioned to establish the yeshiva; the current launch formalizes that effort, with the crowdfunding campaign now underway.
The yeshiva, named in his memory, is intended to teach Torah with a focus on the Land of Israel. As The Zioneer reported earlier Tuesday, Maj. Orbach dedicated part of his life to strengthening agricultural outposts in the Jordan Valley and to Jewish education. The Bar Dalia farm is part of the same area he helped secure.
