The cornerstone-laying ceremony for the Atarot Heritage Center took place Sunday afternoon at the site of the original Atarot Airport in northern Jerusalem, with Prime Minister Netanyahu and Heritage Minister Rabbi Amichai Eliyahu in attendance. According to reports, the center will be established in the original airport terminal building and will document the history of Israeli aviation and Jewish settlement in the area. The event was held under the theme of the 50th anniversary of Operation Entebbe, the 1976 IDF hostage rescue mission in Uganda, in which the prime minister's brother, Lt. Col. Yonatan Netanyahu, was killed.
