A newly published video on Telegram shows a tense moment aboard a flight described as a 'nightmare flight,' according to the post. A voice is heard saying 'There is another pilot here.' No details about the flight's identity, location, or outcome were provided.
New footage released Thursday evening, Oct 1, captures audio from the aftermath of the attempted hijacking of Flydubai flight FZ1073. The clip, posted on social media, includes a voice exclaiming "There is another pilot here." The footage shows Flydubai captain Smit Machchhar with visible wounds receiving medical treatment, while the Omani co-pilot, described by Israeli officials as a terrorist, is seen bound and secured. The footage was recorded after the aircraft landed in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.
The Zioneer reported at 20:01 Jerusalem that earlier footage from the same incident showed the captain wounded and the suspect in custody. The injured captain was transferred from Saudi Arabia to Dubai for further medical treatment, as The Zioneer reported at 13:56 Jerusalem on Thursday. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier confirmed that the Omani co-pilot is under investigation in Saudi Arabia and stated that Israel will join the probe. Netanyahu assessed that the suspect will be transferred to Dubai.
The attempted hijacking occurred on Wednesday, Sep 30, during the flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv. The co-pilot allegedly attacked the captain in the cockpit, forcing an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia. The investigation into the incident, including the co-pilot's motives, is ongoing, with the head of the Mossad, Roman Gofman, coordinating Israel's involvement.
The exact timeline for the suspect's transfer and the full scope of the investigation remain unclear.
