Noam Simchi, the ZAKA volunteer who found 4-year-old Yuval Kogan on Friday after a massive national search, gave a new interview Sunday morning. In the interview with Tal Meir, Simchi said: 'Thank God it's behind us. These were 26 difficult hours for me and for all of Israel, and we thank God. We are worthy of complete redemption soon.' He also stated: 'When a Jew is in trouble, we will be there and help him. Thank God who watched over him.'
This follows a previous interview published Saturday evening in which Simchi described the search as guided by divine providence. The Zioneer has covered the Yuval Kogan story extensively, including the initial location, the president's call, and the mayor's statement. The child was found safe after a 26-hour search that involved the IDF, police, and thousands of volunteers.
