The meeting was first reported by N12 reporter Yaron Avraham and other Israeli media at around 18:22 Jerusalem time. It followed Netanyahu's Tuesday night meeting with Vice President JD Vance, part of a series of high-level security consultations during the Prime Minister's Washington visit. The Hegseth meeting was expected to focus on Iran's nuclear program and regional security coordination, as earlier reported by The Zioneer.
