At 00:52 Jerusalem, Magen David Adom paramedics reported that a 27-year-old man was evacuated to Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot with limb contusions following a traffic accident. The wounded man was among two occupants of the vehicle; the other was declared dead at the scene despite rescue efforts.
The Zioneer reported earlier that one person was killed and another wounded in the crash. Paramedics said they arrived to find the casualties trapped and provided medical treatment during extrication, but were unable to save the second victim.
The circumstances of the accident are under investigation by traffic police.
