Israeli police arrested a 35-year-old resident of Ramallah on Sunday afternoon on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle. According to police spokesperson Inbar Touizer, the suspect was caught while traveling in a stolen car. During the arrest, he was found in possession of a car-start computer, which he allegedly attempted to discard, as well as a tool used to break vehicle windows. The suspect was transferred for questioning, and his detention was extended by a court. This is the latest in a string of similar car-theft related arrests reported in recent weeks, including a suspect from Tulkarm arrested on Highway 1 on June 28, and a Hebron resident detained for a similar offense in Holon on June 17. The investigation is ongoing.
