01 · THE DISPATCH

Israel Police arrested two 15-year-old residents of Issawiya on suspicion of setting a brush fire in the Jerusalem area on Monday morning. The suspects were located with assistance from observation unit operators, according to police spokesperson Inbar Tuizer. Footage of the alleged arson and flight was released by police. The arrests follow a series of similar incidents in recent weeks: earlier this month, police detained three suspects aged 16–19 from Issawiya on suspicion of arson near the Oferit base (June 15); fire investigators also suspect arson in a large brush fire near Havat Aviha in northern Samaria (June 19). No injuries were reported in the current incident.
