Levi's presence marks the highest-level police involvement in the operation so far.
The search operation has been underway since Thursday, with National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir arriving at the scene earlier Friday morning (09:59 Jerusalem). Ben Gvir met with the child's father, Danny Kogan, and instructed police to use all available resources. The father later told i24NEWS that the investigation should consider criminal circumstances, saying a child cannot simply disappear. He also described how Yuval had been walking just behind him and then vanished.
Throughout the morning, The Zioneer reported the release of CCTV footage showing Yuval with his father and sisters hours before his disappearance, as well as drone footage from United Hatzalah and additional imagery from Ynet. Police have said there is currently no evidence linking the incident to a criminal or terror act.
The large-scale search continues along the Ashkelon coastline and surrounding areas, involving police, volunteers, and search teams. Yuval's whereabouts remain unknown, and no new findings have been reported.
